Usual numpty comments bar a few. Red Bull have undoubtedly had the best car for the majority of the season. Recently it’s harder to make a distinction. As far as his start goes it was clear that he had a touch of wheelspin in the second phase ie not his fault. Fact is he’s really pushing Max HARD. Austria should be interesting, Silverstone too.Haven’t seen him crack at all during races recently - he just delivers. For neutrals like me F1 this season has finally started to become much more interesting.

Sainz is beautiful at answering the questions attentively, engaginging, respectfully and accurately. He was not complaining about the moves other drivers made per se, he was commenting on the stewards not applying racing standards equally across races. Only true F1 heads will understand what Sainz was saying today. I don't even like the dude, but objectively speaking, this guy makes logical sense.

My perception was that George is dominating Lewis this season but I was slightly surprised to notice earlier that George built up a lead in the first four races - in the six races since they are 3-3 on race day and 1-1 in the sprints, each with one podium, with Lewis out scoring George. Similar story to 2022 when George performed far better in the first 8 races but from Canada onwards Lewis beat him in qualifying, on race day, podiums scored and points scored. Lewis seems to need to get the car right before he can perform whereas George is much better at just cracking on with what he’s got. But when Lewis’s head is in the game? I would say he has shown himself to be a level above, as demonstrated last year

Arguably the most self critical race driver I've ever seen, it's difficult to hear him talk about himself in this way to be honest, he's too harsh on himself He's doing brilliantly, there was never any idea McLaren would be performing like this so he's got to give himself a break there's always next season and that's what McLaren were looking forward to anyway

Lando’s 3.6 second pitstop is what lost it for him. Had that been 2.1 he would have had DRS on Max for at least the last lap possibly more and with more raw pace. Surprised he wasn’t talking about that, surely it cost him the win more than his start
